How we use artificial intelligence, and how a real person stays in charge.
In Short
Chiro Mamas uses artificial intelligence (AI) as a helper in three places: website writing, patient messages and emails, and note-taking in the office. Dr. Rhee reviews what matters, and a person is always in charge of your care. AI never makes a diagnosis or a care decision. You can ask us not to use AI with your information, and you can always reach a real person at 725-250-2699.
Where We Use AI
- Website content. AI tools may help draft or edit text on this site. Dr. Justine J. Rhee, D.C., reviews and approves the content before it is published. Photos of patients and families are real, and any AI-made image is labeled.
- Patient messages and emails. AI may help us draft general messages such as reminders, scheduling replies and educational notes. A team member reviews them before they go out, except for simple automatic replies.
- Office note-taking (AI scribe). With your permission, we may use an AI tool to record or transcribe a visit and help write the chart note. Dr. Rhee reviews and edits every note before it becomes part of your record.
What AI Does Not Do
AI does not diagnose, choose your care, replace Dr. Rhee’s judgment, or decide anything about your health. Please do not use AI-written content on this site as medical advice. Read our Healthcare Disclaimer.
Notice About AI in Patient Messages (California and Everywhere)
If a message about your health or care was created with generative AI and has not been reviewed by a licensed provider, it will say so clearly. It will also tell you how to reach a real person, by calling or texting 725-250-2699. This follows California law (AB 3030), and we apply it to every patient in every state.
Your Choice About the AI Scribe
We ask before using an AI scribe. You may say no at any time, including in the middle of a visit, and your care will not change. If you say yes, the recording or transcript is used only to write your note, is stored securely, and is not used to train outside AI products. We choose vendors who agree to protect health information and who do not sell it. Any recording is deleted after the note is finished and approved, unless the law requires otherwise.
Privacy and Safety
We do not put your name or health details into public AI tools. We use business-grade tools set up to protect patient information, covered by the same privacy rules as the rest of your record. See our Notice of Privacy Practices and Privacy Policy.
AI Can Make Mistakes
AI can be wrong or out of date. If something on this site or in a message looks off, tell us and we will fix it. For your own health, trust your care team and your medical providers over any automated text.
