Chiropractic for Babies & Children
Gentle, unhurried, age-appropriate care, from a baby’s first days through childhood.

Gentle, Specific Care for Every Age and Stage.
Pediatric chiropractic care looks nothing like adult care, and it changes as a child grows. For babies, an adjustment is a light, specific, sustained contact, with no twisting or popping. Every infant visit includes a primitive reflex exam, along with a careful look at birth history, feeding, sleep, movement and milestones, before any adjustment. Dr. Rhee has cared for babies from their first hours of life.
Visits for infants under one year are booked longer on purpose. Babies need breaks for feeding, soothing and diaper changes, and parents deserve time for questions about positioning, breastfeeding support and development. Dr. Rhee does breastfeeding support and latch work as part of first-year infant visits, so feeding questions get answered alongside the exam. Nothing here is rushed.

How We Work with You
Longer Infant Visits
Under one year of age, appointments are extended by design: time for full history, observation, gentle care and parent education, at the baby’s pace.
Primitive Reflexes, Checked
Every infant visit includes a primitive reflex exam to confirm those early reflexes are present and intact, and pregnancy, birth, feeding, sleep and milestones are all reviewed before any hands-on care.
Milestone Check-Ups
Your baby’s milestones are reviewed at every infant visit, including head control, tummy time, rolling, sitting, feeding and sleep. We follow them across the first year, so you can see how your baby is progressing, and we refer to your pediatrician whenever something warrants it.
Matched to Age and Stage
Force and technique are scaled to the child, and they change as the child grows. For a newborn, that means very light, sustained contact.
Breastfeeding Support & Latch
Part of first-year infant visits: a latch assessment, feeding positions and posture for you and baby, and a look at how baby sucks and moves the tongue and jaw. If we suspect a tongue or lip tie, we guide you and refer you to the right provider. You leave knowing what to do between visits.
Clear About Scope
Chiropractic care supports spinal and nervous-system function. It is not a treatment for disease, and we refer to your pediatrician when something warrants it.
Growing with Them
Many families move from newborn checks to milestone visits, and on to our pre-teen and teen care.
You Asked
Is chiropractic care safe for a newborn?
Yes, when it’s performed by someone trained in pediatric technique. Dr. Rhee completed the ICPA’s 200+ hour pediatric certificate program, the Gonstead pediatric program, and a post-doctoral postceptorship in Gonstead pediatric and pregnancy studies. Pressure and technique are matched to the baby’s age and stage.
Why do infant visits cost more and take longer?
Because they involve considerably more: a full birth and feeding history, observation of movement and posture, care delivered at the baby’s pace with breaks as needed, and dedicated time for parent education. See the fee schedule for exact pricing.
Do children get X-rays?
Not routinely, and rarely at all. Radiographs are only considered when there is a specific clinical indication, and they are always discussed with you first.
What can I actually expect to change?
That depends entirely on the child and what brought you in. We will not promise a result. What we will do is tell you what we found, what we think care can reasonably address, and when to expect a reassessment.
Will my child be scared?
Most aren’t. The office is set up for kids, and older children usually think the instruments are interesting. Nothing happens until your child is comfortable with it.
