Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for women at every stage, expecting and new mothers, and families looking for gentle, evidence-informed chiropractic care in Las Vegas.

General
What is chiropractic care, and how can it help during pregnancy and postpartum?
Chiropractic care focuses on spinal and nervous system health. During pregnancy and postpartum, proper spinal and pelvic alignment may help reduce back and hip pain, improve posture, support mobility and promote overall nervous system balance. Many women seek prenatal and postpartum chiropractic care to feel more comfortable and supported through the changes their body is making.
What is the Gonstead Chiropractic Method?
The Gonstead Method is a specific, analytical technique focused on evaluating and correcting spinal misalignments with precision. Unlike more general approaches, it emphasizes thorough assessment (posture analysis, X-rays when necessary, palpation and specialized instrumentation) to locate and correct vertebral subluxations. At Chiro Mamas it is adapted for prenatal, postpartum and pediatric patients so care stays gentle, safe and effective.
What makes Chiro Mamas different from other chiropractors in Las Vegas?
Chiro Mamas is dedicated exclusively to women, infants and children. Care is customized using a gentle, precise Gonstead-based approach with specific modifications for pregnancy, postpartum recovery and pediatric patients. The pace, the room and the appointment lengths were all built around that, not adapted to it.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No referral is required.
Do you see male adults?
Our practice is exclusive to women of all stages and pediatric patients. Male family members are usually referred to another Gonstead chiropractor, but may be seen on a limited basis depending on the condition and situation. Please contact the office to discuss availability.
Pregnancy & the Webster Technique
Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
Yes. Prenatal chiropractic care is considered safe when provided by a trained provider. Techniques and positioning are modified for each stage of pregnancy to ensure comfort and safety. Many pregnant patients seek care to support pelvic balance, reduce discomfort and improve overall function.
Do you provide the Webster Technique, and what is it?
Yes. Dr. Rhee is certified in the Webster Technique, a gentle, pregnancy-specific chiropractic technique. It focuses on identifying and reducing pelvic and sacral tension, muscle imbalance and joint restriction that may affect pelvic biomechanics. The goal is not to manually turn a breech baby, but to help optimize the mother’s pelvic alignment and nervous system function so the body can create more favorable conditions for the baby to move naturally.
Can chiropractic care help with breech presentation or fetal positioning?
Many expecting mothers seek prenatal chiropractic care to support pelvic alignment and nervous system balance, which may help create optimal conditions for fetal positioning. Care may include the Webster Technique. To be clear about what it does: it does not turn the baby. It reduces pelvic tension and imbalance so the baby has the room to move into a more favorable position naturally.
Why do women seek prenatal chiropractic care?
Physically: low back pain, pelvic and hip discomfort, sciatica, pubic symphysis dysfunction, round ligament pain, postural strain, headaches and reduced mobility. Neurologically: pregnancy places unique demands on the nervous system, and reducing mechanical stress may support regulation and adaptability. Many patients also seek care to help manage physical tension related to stress, anxiety, sleep disturbance and emotional overwhelm. Supporting spinal and pelvic balance during pregnancy can also help the body transition more smoothly after birth.
Babies & Children
Is chiropractic care safe for babies and children?
Yes. Pediatric chiropractic care uses very gentle, age-appropriate techniques to support a child’s developing spine and nervous system. Parents often bring infants and children in for support with colic, reflux symptoms, feeding challenges, torticollis, sleep difficulties, posture concerns and overall wellness.
Do you help with breastfeeding and latch?
Yes. Breastfeeding support and latch work are part of our postpartum and first-year infant visits: latch assessment, feeding positions and posture, how baby sucks and moves the tongue and jaw, and guidance or referrals if a tongue or lip tie is suspected.
Why do visits for infants up to 1 year of age require more time?
Because care is highly detailed, gentle and responsive to the baby’s cues. These visits include a thorough review of pregnancy, birth history, feeding patterns, sleep and developmental milestones, plus time to observe movement, posture and nervous system responses. Infant care is never rushed. Babies may need breaks for feeding, soothing, diaper changes or comfort, and care is always performed at the baby’s pace. Additional time is spent educating parents and providing guidance on positioning, feeding support and developmental considerations.
Will my child need X-rays?
Not routinely, and rarely at all. Radiographs are only considered when there is a specific clinical indication, and they are always discussed with you before anything is taken.
Do you see boys?
Yes. Our pediatric care includes boys and girls from birth through the teen years. Our women-only focus applies to adult patients.
Appointments, Fees & Policies
How many visits will I need?
Care plans are individualized based on your concerns, goals and how your body responds. Some patients seek short-term care; others choose ongoing wellness care. Recommendations are always discussed openly.
How long are appointments?
Initial visits are longer to allow time for assessment and consultation, and include your first adjustment. Your Report of Findings, with your care plan and its cost, comes on the second visit. Follow-up visits are typically shorter and focused on care and progress. Visits for infants under one year are extended.
Do you accept insurance?
Chiro Mamas is a cash-based practice. Superbills are available upon request for patients who wish to submit to insurance for potential reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
What are your fees?
Every fee is published on our Fees & Packages page. Pricing is also discussed before care begins. Transparency is always prioritized.
Are fees the same for infants, children and adults?
No. Fees vary depending on the type of patient and the care provided. See the full fee schedule for detailed pricing by patient type and visit.
Do you offer family or pediatric plans?
Yes. ChiroPack10 (buy 10 spinal adjustments, receive 1 free) and ChiroPack25 (buy 25, receive 3 free) are available for adult, pediatric and infant or complex-case spinal adjustments. Packs cover spinal adjustments only. Superbills and HSA or FSA funds may be used.
What is your cancellation and last-minute reschedule policy?
We require at least 24 business hours’ notice for any cancellation or reschedule. For Monday appointments, we need to be notified by the preceding Friday. This policy also applies to holidays or any days off by the doctor, which are always communicated ahead of time. Missed appointments without proper notice may be charged a fee. Emergencies are handled case by case.
