Chiropractic for Pre-teens & Teens
Specific, gentle care through the fastest growth of their lives, for young women and young men.

Growing Fast, Carrying a Lot.
Backpacks, screens, sports and growth spurts all ask a lot of a growing spine. The same five-part Gonstead analysis Dr. Rhee uses for every patient is adapted for pre-teens and teens, with care matched to their stage of development and the activities they love.
Parents are welcome at every visit. As kids get older, we also talk with them directly about posture, sleep and everyday habits, so they understand their own bodies and feel part of their care.
Commonly Brought to Us
- Posture strain from screens, studying and devices

How We Work with You
Puberty & Growing Up
Puberty is a season of fast growth and big changes. For girls, that includes getting ready for their first period. Dr. Rhee checks spinal and pelvic alignment and nervous-system function through these changes, and talks with girls and their parents about what to expect, in an open, age-appropriate way.
Scoliosis Checks
Growth spurts are when spinal curves are most likely to show up, so a posture and spine screening is part of care for this age group. If a check suggests a curve, we explain what we see and refer you to your pediatrician or an orthopedic specialist for evaluation.
Posture & Screens
Hours of phones, laptops and homework add up. We check posture and share simple changes that help.
Sports & Activity
Whether it’s dance, soccer or the weight room, we look at how they move and what their activities ask of their spine. Force and technique are matched to their age and stage.
Parents Included
You’re welcome at every visit, and we explain what we find in a way both you and your child can understand.
Habits That Stick
Lifestyle coaching on sleep, stress and nutrition, matched to a busy teen’s life.
You Asked
Do you see teen boys as well as girls?
Yes. Our pediatric and teen care includes boys and girls through the teen years. Our women-only focus applies to adult patients.
Do teens get X-rays?
Not routinely. Radiographs are only considered when there is a specific clinical indication, and they are always discussed with you first.
Can my teen be seen during a growth spurt?
Yes. Growth spurts are often when posture and comfort change the most, and care is adjusted to where your child is in their development.
